Bamboo Bean Adventure

The EYA volunteers planted some amazing beans today. Purple, speckled, orange and maroon... these beans are being grown in the Youth Garden. The Youth Garden is primarily a seed saving garden, so these beans will be dried and saved, likely not eaten. Though that would be a beautiful bowl of chili.

Some of the beans require poles to climb up, so Claire and Julia went on an adventure to the MOP Garden for bamboo. Thanks MOP! After successfully carrying it on their bikes to the Youth Garden, the volunteers put together some great bean teepees.

Grow beans grow!
