Youth Garden buds

Viburnum is always one of the first to open her delicate, soft pink trumpet-looking flowers.
Silvery fuzzy buds glimmered in the sunshine.
Crocuses opened wide, waiting and baiting the waking bees.
Cornelian Cherry blossoms look like bright yellow fireworks, calling a celebration to spring!
Helleborus hanging low to the ground is unfortunate - her magestic fleshy flowers are certainly one of the most beautiful of spring.
The verdent green leaves delicately peel themselves open one by one, but on a day like today (it is pouring rain and quite chilly!), you can't help but wonder if it is still too soon...

Our resident Bald Eagle sat perched high in the Cottonwood tree, a true testament to the depth of the ecological web and magic of this incredible garden.
Welcome to the garden! And... Hip Hip Hooray for the coming spring :)

Hi! My school, Seymour Heights elementary in North Van, is looking for help in winning a $20,000 upgrade to our courtyard space to create more garden spaces and a class meeting space (with rain coverage). Please help us win by voting daily at majesta.com!
