Lawns to Loaves Harvest Celebration!

A homemade thresher improved what was last years most tedious step... it worked amazingly well!
The bicycle mill was a huge hit, with folks taking turns to mill the freshly threshed wheat. Whole wheat flour in the making!
Volunteer youth joined us, and showed their pizza dough making skills!
Our community members brought some amazing treats - gingersnaps, honey rye cake, award winning blackberry jam, and macarons donated by Terra Breads. Yum!
The EYA's new wood-fired pizza oven got roaring for the incoming feast.
Terra Breads sourdough with award winning blackberry jam!
Soaking the wheat in preparation for traditional weaving, with Brian.
In the shade of the orchard, we were serenaded as we baked.
 Lots of wheat to sort!
The wheat berry, lentil and kale soup was loved by all.

Pizza is in the oven, and only a few minutes later is cooked to perfection. Hartley manned the station, serving up delicious slices all afternoon.
 Oh, that's good...
Freshly milled, locally grown wheat pizza with garden tomatoes and basil. Now that's what we call a Lawns to Loaves Harvest Celebration!
